A 480-square-foot garden suite — kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and laundry — delivered for the Canadian Mental Health Association Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge in the rear yard of a rental property the agency owns on Park Street North. It was the first garden home in Peterborough established by a social service agency.
The home was fabricated as two modules, trucked to Peterborough and craned onto a prepared foundation on 1 October 2024; the lift was complete within about four hours. Metrosuite designed the home and managed delivery, with the City of Peterborough's building and planning department supporting the approvals. The project was funded through the United Way Peterborough & District and local donors.
Park Street is a small building and an early one, but it is the project that proved the delivery method Metrosuite now applies to every multiplex: factory fabrication, a foundation poured in parallel, and a set measured in hours.
